Every day I get emails from my subscribers asking me whether a specific site is a scam site or not. Most of the sites I get to see are scam sites.
They do announce some data entry jobs and ask you to pay some money to register with them. After that you should either scam others by asking them to join the site, lose more money in Google AdWords or waste your time, energy and money in a variety of activities.
If you are looking for a job online first do a bit of search and find out what type of jobs are available today. I am not saying you go to these scam sites and find out. These sites have to get the job from someone to give it to you, right? Some company or internet marketer has to pay these sites and ask them to get a job done - then these sites can give you the job and pay you a part of what they get paid.
So who is handing out jobs? What type of jobs they want to get done?
Here are a few of the ways you can earn money by getting a job. Remember each job requires a specific skill, unless you develop that you will not get these jobs. Only scam sites can promise you a job without any skill and say that you will earn thousands of dollars overnight. Wake up and first accept nothing like that ever happens. Then develop the skills required to do specific jobs and create a profile for yourself.
1. You can earn money by building sites and blogs for others. If you have web designing skills this is one of the ways to earn money.
2. You can create programs and software for others. Many Indians go through engineering courses and MCA courses but they do not learn how to create software or new programs. We have the largest number of highly qualified young people. If only we learn to be practical right from our learning period we can earn a lot. While you are studying think of how you will be able to use it to make a living for yourself in future.
3. You can earn money by learning how to get traffic to blogs. Blog traffic generation includes a number of important steps such as creating squidoo lenses, hub pages, interacting in the social sites and more.
If you have your own blog you can learn the skills required to promote it and monetize it. Even if you do not earn a lot of money through your blog, you can get blog creation, promotion, and monetization related jobs and earn money. For this to happen you have to prove you have the required skills by creating and promoting your own blog.
The first step to create your blog is to choose a topic that is searched by many others. You have to keep your own interest, ability, knowledge, etc. in mind. You also need to think of how many people are interested in the topic you want to invest your precious time and energy on.
Do a thorough keyword research and identify the potential of the topic you have in mind.
Think of about 20 different topics you can work with and test out each one of them. Enter the keyword in the tool and find out how much search volume is there, how much competition is there.
Narrow down to three topics.
Do more research to finally choose one topic you want to focus on.
Start with a blogger blog - completely free.
Once you learn some of the skills go for a WordPress blog.
Prepare a profile for yourself keeping in mind what type of job you want to get. Make a detailed profile with information about all the skills you possess.
Post that profile on your blog as well as all the other sites such as squidoo, hub, and social sites such as digg, stumbleupon, etc.
Write articles, submit to article directories and include part of your profile in the resource box.
Proove to others you have the skills vis-à-vis the type of job you are interested in.
Market yourself. You have to first believe in yourself and know your strengths. Then you can advertise yourself by highlighting these skills when communicating with others through your own blog, blog networks, social sites and article directories.
First and foremost do not rely on scam sites and waste your hard earned money on them. Once you get cheated you may lose faith in any and all online ventures.
Do not fall a prey to vultures. Do not cheat others.
Be sincere in learning and applying the skills necessary to earn online.
Prove to yourself and the people who employ you that your skills can get results.
Earn a lot of money. More important than that earn respect from others who visit your blogs, who interact with you on social sites, who partner with you or emply you.
If you lose money you can earn it back again. If you lose trust and respect it is extremely hard to earn back.

I still get telephone calls, chat messages, email and help desk ticket asking me about data entry jobs. So I thought I will make a final post on it.
I searched for data entry jobs on Google and the site that was on top as no #1 position has an article type of write up about data entry jobs. It speaks about accuracy in their services. And on the left menu I saw:
“Top Vaccancies” - there is a spelling mistake right here.
Ok forget about it, I went hunting for what they have to offer. I came up with nothing.
The second item on their left menu is: Content Writer
I thought this is good - at least they are asking us to write articles and get paid.
Do you want to hear what they have to offer?
You have to pay Rs. 2000 to register. Then you write 100 articles for nothing. Yes believe it or not they won’t pay you a paisa for these 100 articles. Your account will be ccanceled if you do not continue with them.
If you continue to write article 101 you get rupees 20 that is about half a dollar. This is the rate for articles 101 to 200. Then for 201 to 300 you will get rupees 30 and so on until you reach rupees 50 per article.
My question to you is would anybody who is not absolutely crazy pay someone about $50, write 100 articles for $0 and then get $0.50 per article and be happy with the earnings? So you want to quit your day job, hope to work from home and get rich this way?
If you are able to write 100 articles wouldn’t you have an authority site for yourself? Such sites help you earn a lot more than this. Even if you do not earn in any other way, you can sell that blog for thousands of dollars, provided you have put in the initial work in selecting your blog topic.
In one of the data entry job it was mentioned that all you have to do is to fill in a form with a few words, enter a url and you are done. On further investigation it turned out that they are asking their customers to promote affiliate products through Google AdWords.
That is you spend money to advertise through Google and sell an affiliate product to earn money. Affiliate promotion involves heling someone else sell their product. You get a commission if you help that person sell the product. Suppose the affiliate commission is $50 and you are able to spend $30 on advertising and earn the commission, you have earned $20. But to be able to do this you need a very good knowledge of how to advertise through Google. Unless you are an expert in Google AdWords this can lead you to a loss of thousands of dollars. The data entry job offerers are not gonig to tell you anything about that. They have got your registration money and they are not bothered whether you earn money or lose money by selling others products.
Whatever way you want to earn online is your decision. But do not pay for anything without understanding what you are getting yourself into.
When someone says you will get $100 to read an email, wait for a minute and think about it. Does it make good business sense? Would you do such a thing if you had the money?
There are 1000s of scam sites out there. The only thing they do well is to promote themselves and print a rosy picture for you. They fool you by making you believe you can become rich just by giving them money. The people who take your money will definitely become rich. You will definitely lose the money you pay them as registration fee.
If you want to work from home, start learning the tricks of the trade. There are a lot of free materials available online. Use them to learn how to earn online. You will NEVER become rich overnight especially through the stupid act of paying someone for a data entry job.
With the advancement in technology there is hardly any need for people who can mechanically type sentences to be put online.
Today’s data entry jobs are different. They require your human input. They want you to type sentences in response to others sentences. They want you to write meaningful sentences as a human being.

Add that link to your email signature, forum posts, article resource box and Orkut or yahoo group communication. Write a review of the product and submit to ezinearticles.com. You can start earning money without a website or blog.
Chat in forums and social sites such as facebook, find out what people need, go and find the right products for them, talk to them about the product in between conversations naturally as you would talk to a friend. You will make some sales.
More important than the money you are learning the skills of writing articles and socializing. These are some of the skills that make you employable.
Step 2: Start a blog
A blog software can be free or may cost you some money.
WordPress.org is free but you need to buy webspace and domain name.
Depending on your financial position go for a free or paid blogging platform.
- Do research to choose the right keywords that will get you more traffic. There are billions of blogs out there with no visitors. One main reason for that is not many are interested in the topic of the blogs.

If you are using a free blogging platform like blogger.com create different blogs for different themes. Do not have too many different topics on one blog.
Step 3: Invest a little more, buy your own webspace and domain name. Get a blogging software that will speed up the work for you. If you want to manage more than one blog you need a blogging software tha will automate part of the work.

Once you have the skills you can work for someone or be on your own. That is up to you.
First Learn and then use that to Earn.
